How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am blind. Due to my health conditions, I have been unable to do any work to earn money to support myself and my family. The only thing that I have ever prayed for is to gain my eyesight. Therefore because of this reason, I have decided to used some of my transfers to send my children to school and pay for their tuition fees. The balance of my transfers, I have been saving it to add up to the balance transfer so I can be able to go for surgery on my eyes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The presence of GiveDirectly have brought lot of happiness into my live and many others. With the help of God Almighty, had it not been GiveDirectly, I could have remained with blindness until I could have reached the time of my death. I am so much happy for this great opportunity because I believe that I am going to be able to see again because of GiveDirectly. When it comes to what is not done well by GiveDirectly, I have not heard of anything that is not done well by GiveDirectly. I just want to extend my thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been going through a lot of difficulties along with my family because of my eyesight. Due to the lack of finance, my family have been living uncomfortably because I am unable to sustain me and them. Meanwhile, I was so much happy for this last transfer from Givedirectly because through it, I am going to add up to the money that I been saving from the previous transfer to go for my eye surgery because I want t to see again in the future by God's grace.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my transfer was one of the best moments of my life. I was very happy. I am an old man. Blind. I can no longer work. Things have been so hard on me. I could hardly afford my daily needs. My children cut palm and make oil out of it. They take the oil to local markets to sell. The money they generate from that business is used to feed us. This GiveDirectly program is a life saver. Being on this program my life will never be the same again.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly is that I can now provide my daily needs. I no longer worry about how I will eat. I no longer stress my children out to provide food for me. I can now afford my own food. I am so thankful for this life changing opportunity. Hopefully after receiving all of the transfers my family life will improve.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was excited when GIVEDIRECTLY came to my town. Its cash program is amazing. I am an old blind man. I can no longer afford my daily needs. Things have been so difficult for me. My children have been helping to cater to my needs. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. I used some of the money to pay my children tuition. I also bought a new mattress. I bought some food items to sustain us. I'm so grateful for this opportunity. Our lives will never be the same again.
