Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have acquired livestock that is going to be paid to my parents as dowry. This will make me very happy because I am going to be an official wife to my husband after the payment of dowry. Furthermore, I was in position to renovate our house and acquire solar which lights at night that has saved me from the cost of buying dry cells weekly for the torch we used before.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I got a mobile money message from MTN at around 6:00 AM indicating that I had got money from GiveDirectly, I was overwhelmed by joy and woke up my husband to tell him the the good new. He was also very happy and we arranged to go together to collect our money that very day.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer to purchase two cows, a goat, a mattress; bed, solar, foodstuffs, bricks, a bag of cement and hiring a piece of land.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving the money means I will be able to complete the construction work in my house. That will improve on our living conditions because. Currently, the house we live in is infested with termites that mould clay. Every morning when I wake up, I have to clear the clay because it is not floored.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is after lunch. I m happy a round this time because it finds when I have eaten and strong enough to carry on with any other household work.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my household is lack of land. We hire land in order to cultivate crops for both household consumption and sale. My home does not have enough food because, the little land we hire is not enough to produce enough of it.
