How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, the change in my life is that, I do not over think on how to get an acre of land for cultivation, seeds to plant, a cow to provide food and act as a saving, to mention. earlier on, I did not have enough land for crop cultivation that made us food insecure.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well through empowering us to begin new life in our communities through acquisition of cows, food, fees, utensils and many more. It's difficult to find gaps in GiveDirectly's operations.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I lent my neighbour part of the money in exchange for an acre of land that i will cultivate until when it is paid back, I bought seeds for planting when the rains fall. I then bought a cow that will provide food for the family and also acting as saving for my household. The balance of UGX 2000, I bought air time for myself.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is different because I have my oxen and when rains return I will be able to plough with ease and no longer have to hire labor which is very expensive. I used to think a lot how my child could go back school but since I was able to pay fees with this transfer I have peace of mind.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received a message for my first transfer from Give Directly and I told God long live Give Directly. I laughed, rejoiced and celebrated because no one has ever sent money of this kind to me. The reason I was supper excited was getting large sums of money at once because I have done farming for a very long time and I have never ripped this kind of money in my entire peasantry.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I got a challenge of paying school fees and I had to sale my livestock to take children to school therefore I faced a problem of ploughing. When I received my first transfer from Give Directly, I decided to buy some oxen for ploughing and I spent UGX 1100000. Since children were in the school holidays the time this money was sent to me, I set a side UGX 370000 that I have already paid for this term and I also spent UGX 103000 for for school supplies, uniform and the mattress for the child in boarding. I did not have enough household items like Utensils to use at home and this money helped me procure some and I used UGX 100000.
