How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my life is healthier because, I got adequate treatment. Previously, I would spend quite a number of days without getting any medical attention due to lack of money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through proper identification of vulnerable beneficiaries like me. At my old age, I did not imagine that at one point I would receive such a big amount of money. I do not see what they have failed to do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 400000 for buying clothes, a mattress, bed sheets and a mosquito net. The balance of UGX 1232000, I spent it on feeding and treatment for my self though I do not remember exactly how much each item costed due to my old age.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my health condition has improved.

The moment I received my token transfer, I felt happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I bought a bed and mattress worth 240,000ugx, bedsheets and a blanket costed 80,000ugx. I also needed a mosquitoe net worth 20,000ugx to prevent the spread of malaria. I needed clothes and shoes which I bought with 50,000ugx in order to improve on my standard of living. I bought a solar worth 150,000ugx to provide light at night. I paid a debt of 900,000ugx which money I had borrowed for burrying my late husband. I bought a goat which I want to use as an income generating activity for the household. The balance of 170,000ugx, Ivspent it on food and treatment.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build a permanent iron-roofed house for my self. I will also use part of the money for buying land.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon especially after getting what to eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is lack of food. I do not have land to cultivate inorder to get good stuffs.
