How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The change in my life is that, I am happy because, this support was timely since it helped me to pay medical bills for my father and my child. Before receiving this cash transfer, I struggled a lot to find ways of getting money for treatment by mortgaging some land for the same.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly's selection criteria is one of the best because they do not segregate but give support to all who qualify in the community. It's difficult to find faults in GiveDirectly's operations.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 807300 for treating my father and daughter who were sick. I bought a sheep and two goats worth UGX 250000 to act as saving. I paid a debt of UGX 300000 that I had borrowed for sorting out family challenges. I paid school fees and bought bedding for my child worth UGX 234000. I gave my daughters UGX 30000 as a gift and the balance of UGX 10700, I bought food and some I spent for leisure.
