Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt I wasn't part of those who were to receive money from Givedirectly, because my neighbors celebrated for their money early morning except me. My money came later in the evening and everyone was happy for me. I was overjoyed. Givedirectly name was on my lips the entire day.

I was stranded but the money has changed my life. Givedirectly made me a big business woman in my community. Most of the town people run to me to buy. I feel empowered.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I paid my five children's school fees and I cover my sick husband's medical bills. I used the rest of the money to top up my provision business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a mother of four children (3 boys, 1 girl). I have been facing serious difficulties in sending my children to school. At the beginning of this year, my house broke down completely and I had to use my business money to buy zinc and fix a new house. Because of the construction of my new house, my business also collapsed, thus making me incapable to send my children to school. My husband does coal burning to feed our family but the money is not also enough to send my children to school. So, when I get the cash transfer, I intend to start my business because that is what I know. I believe that when I put my money into business, I can better the lives of my children and husband because I will be able to send them to school and to also take care of my family needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Since my house collapsed this year, I had to really struggle to get money to construct my new house. Now that my house is completed, I am very happy and I thank God for his blessings upon me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges that I am currently facing are getting money to take care of my children and even to take good care of myself. Since my business collapsed because of my new house construction, I have been unable to really cater to the need of my family. For now, getting money is my current challenge because when I get money, my business can begin and I can once again be able to cater to my family and my needs.
