What did you spend your second transfer on?
I loaned out Ugx 1000000 of my second transfer and received two acres of land as collateral. In addition, I spent the balance on food and medical.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly in my opinion, has done well by giving me the cash transfers. There is nothing wrong they have done to me.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved in that, I have more land at my disposal to cultivate. Previously, I used to move long distance to cultivate one acre of land I owned. This led to low harvest which inturn brought about food shortage in my family.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased a plot of land worth UGX1,000,000 and UGX80,000 to buy a bed. I also spent UGX200,000 to buy mama kit and other household items. I spent UGX100,000 on medical treatment and the rest of the cash transfer was spent on buying food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy that day because I was sick then and needed money for treatment. This money came as a relief to me and I am very grateful that GiveDirectly chose me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I was able to acquire a piece of land that I intend to cultivate on once the rains come. This land will produce food for my family. In addition to that I sleep on a comfortable bed that I bought with my cash transfer.

The biggest hardship which I face in my life and family is extrem poverty .
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is always after lunch when we are together and some brings a nice story .

Receiving this money is a means of helping me ,to get enough money for buy land and cattle.
