What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay adebt, buy cement,transporting building materials and paying for labour.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly has done well in that without the transfers sent to me, i would not be able to build a house. Givedirectly has done nothing wrong.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better now, in that the contineous monitoring and calls from givedirctly staff has made me acquire a house. My trustee would have spent all the transfers if it was not the contineous follow up from Givedirectly staff.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased iron sheets worth UGX500,000 and bricks worth UGX750,000 and timber worth UGX300,000. I paid the builder UGX150,000.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy because I was in dire need of money to construct a spacious house. This money was to enable me construct a spacious house where my grand children can reside in during their visits.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I have constructed a spacious house with enough room for me and my grand children. I was living in a small tiny house which could not accommodate me and my grand children.

The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money to rent farming land and this has limited my food production

The happiest part of my day is in the evenings when I am selling my local brew
