How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My previous goal was for me to buy more goods for commercial purposes but I was not able to do so due to lack of money. Before receiving transfers from GiveDirectly,I was doing farming work to sustain my family and I. I have three children and I am a High school dropped out. With these transfers, my life has improved immensely. I am thankful to GiveDirectly for making my life better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Through GiveDirectly I have bought a motorbike for myself and my wife's business have increased. GiveDirectly own method of selecting qualified household to benefit from this program is incredible. I am so pleased with this program.

When I received my transfer, a huge portion of my money was used to buy more goods for my retailed business. Proceeds gathered from this business will be used to take good care of my family. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My major goal was to do business that will enable me build my own house. The first two payments I was able to purchase Motor Bike for business purpose, and my next two paymans going to was my building materials just for the betterment of my two children future. GiveDirectly came in time with this cash transfer project that will really improved our livelihood. I just begin to run my motor bike as trasport bike and I getting good income generation on a day-to-day basis that will benefit me and my family. Again want to say many thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly for the intervention into my life. All of my.payments when to was purchasing motor bike and building materials.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My transfer is something that has really been on my mind. For each time I use to see my friends who received before me, buying things and improving their lives, I felt jealous and hoping for mine. It was one morning, I was far from my town running after my hustle, I received a call from my friends that another transfer has been sent for them. I decided to check my phone, I was hopeful this time around and for real, my long awaited transfer was right on my phone!! I was so so excited!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been riding my friends bike and earning nothing for so many years. At times they will deny me from hustling on their bike, insult and humiliate me. This condition of mine was a pain in the neck for me. Imagining a family man like me submitting to my fellow men just to survive. Today, with the help of Give Directly, there is a turn around in my life, in just a few time, I will become my own boss and I'm so much grateful to God for this great opportunity. What does receiving this money mean to you?
I intend to build my family and I a new house with my transfer from Givedirectly. Where we now live looks bad and I'm worried about the safety of my family. So my first priority when I receive this transfer will be to build a house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My joy in the past six months came today; that was when I was interviewed and told I would benefit from Givedirectly transfer program.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm going through now are raising funds to build my family a house and to send my children to school this academic. Schools just resumed and my children haven't started going because of thelack of funds to pay their fees.
