How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received this transfer in that, I now have self esteem that was lacking before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well by giving us unconditional cash transfers that have enabled us to acquire items that were lacking. I have not seen what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I bought two bulls worth 1,400,000ugx in order to help the household in opening up land for cultivation of crops. The balance of 300,000ugx, I used for purchasing utensils in order to improve on the living standard in the household.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
After recieving my first transfer, I intend to spend 1,500,000ugx for purchasing cement and bricks for renovating my house. And the balance of 200,000ugx, I will use it to help me in weeding my crops.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I recieved my first transfer, what the joy I was filled with! I laughed to the top of my voice and chanted songs of praise.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life I have hope that I will have better living conditions because, within the near future, I will have renovated my house hence better housing for me and household members.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is having pressure and also being diabetic. This is taking alot of money to treat that i could use for buying food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon. This is when neighbours visit me ,we talk and laugh.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to invest transfers on farming ,such that i can fight poverty in my family.
