How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a new house with a shop attached to it, the house I am staying in right now is a family house that I can't depend on fully. I believe that when I run a shop business here with foodstuffs, I will raise good profit, that is why I am saving to achieve my goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

I haven't yet withdrawn my most recent transfer because I want to add the remaining transfer to it to start my house project in this town.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If we are successful to receive the cash transfer, we will build our own house because the house we are in now is a family house and very old now. We have planned to build our own house right in town here but I have not been able to raise money for that. The coal work we are engaged in here to produce, sell and earn money from it to implement our plan is not giving us much money as expected because there are two many people engaged in it too for business and maybe for the same purpose like ours.. As the result, the price has dropped drastically thereby affecting our plan of building our own house as planned. Part of the reasons we have not be able to build our own house is that I am a parents less child. In other words, my mother and father are no more. As such, things are very difficult for me as it relates everything better like can offer. So if GD will give us the money as was promised, that will be a dream come through for us to have our own home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, I am very happy the fact that I got life. I know once there is life, there is hope and a future. So I am very happy no matter what. Besides this, ( having life) the past six months, I am yet to remember something that made me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge for me here is how to raise money to support my family as it relates to food provision medical treatment for me and my family and as well as being able to implement my plan of building our own house. I considered money as the major challenge because, it is very difficult to get here. Besides, to do a lot of things any one needs to do here, like food, getting people to work for you, all required money.
