How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life Is now different because of the transfer that I received. I have clothes. I have a better place to sleep, and am not able to eat three times a day.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does everything well. This organization has helped us solve problems that we never thought would be solved. For example I now have a bicycle which I use for transportation.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend the transfer on alot of things. I was able to buy a bicycle, mattress, food, clothes and I am building a house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means a lot to me and my child. The husband am married to is polygamous and he struggles a lot to make ends meet. This money will be put to good use by building a house and buying other household items such as pots, spoons, buckets, beddings among others. Since we also harvest a little due to lack of fertilizer, I intend to buy additional fertilizer for my garden so as to harvest more and become food secure next year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy in the afternoon when I get hold of my child. Its a newly born baby and when I harvest some maize in the field (as we are harvesting slowly) in the morning, I rest by playing with him in the afternoon.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main hardship I face is poor housing. This house leaks a lot in rainy season and recently I had to stay with my mom for some weeks while this one was being repaired.
