How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life changed and it is still changing. For the past year I was lacking money to buy fertilizer.but this year I will be able to buy fertilizer and I am so happy about that.

My GiveDirectly does very well. It gives us money, directly to us. We are so thankful for that

I spent the transfer on food and fertilizer. I also spent the other transfer on land, I am renting a piece of land so that I can plant some maize this year. I also used some of the transfer to renovate my house .

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am grateful for this opportunity. I will start a business with the money. I feel like this is my opportune time to improve my living standards and the money will be sustained when i start a business. My house is also in poor condition. The money will help me to renovate my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Nowadays, I am a happy person because we have just harvested our crops. We are free from hunger.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I mostly lack farm inputs which lead into low yields hence we constantly face food shortage.
