I was home with my husband when I received the first transfer. We called the nearest agent home to withdraw. I was so happy when I received the transfer. I had never received such a big amount of money. Before receiving the first transfer, I lived in a house whose roof was leaking everytime it rained. I hired a construction worker to change the roof, I bought a piece of land and some food. I always put GD in my everyday prayers and thank everyone that worked for us to get this grant.

Before I received the first transfer, I was very poor and begged for temporary jobs from my friends and neighbors to work in their fields. I worked for 1 $ a day and it was barely enpugh to feed my family. I am very happy I received the first transfer because I was able to renovate and think about other projects ahead when I receive LS2. Those are things I could not permit myself to think before I received the transfer.

When I received the first transfer, I rebuilt my roof and it cost me 162 $, I bought a 40 $ solar lighting system, utensils 9 $, bought a piece of land worth 80 $, a mattress for 25 $ and some food worth 55 $. Renovating the roof of my house that was leaking was very urgent because my fa,ily would not sleep on rainy nights.
