How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because i used to be sickly, but now i feel strong and healthy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well giving people money to reduce poverty. The villages are now having iron sheet roofed houses, livestock and gardens to plant crops.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy iron sheets, a hired a garden, paid a debt of 500,000 Ugx, some went to meet medical bills and the balance spent on food stuff.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase of a mattress , i also used part of it for treament for my self and the child. I kept the balance which i intend to use for buying a plot of land. I had married but came back home after separating with my spouse. I now stay with my aunty, this money will enable me buy a piece of land where i will settle.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the money i became happy and ululated on top of my voice as a sign of my happiness.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that i have hope of owning land and i will be respected in the community.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is when my husband divorced me and got a new wife, sending me and my daughter out of his home.This made my life difficulty because I hardly had, no home to return to since both parents of mine were dead.I ended up beginning a new life in my aunties home
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning.Seeing my two and half year old daughter, healthy and happy makes me happy every morning.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying a plot of land in a trading centre for my household.I want to expand my alcohol bussiness by transferring it to the trading centre with the help of this money
