How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different as I have a beautifully finished house. The house was previously smeared with mud which was hectic to maintain and would in most occasions expose us to colds and flu which are expensive to suppress. I also have a business that generates income for my family on a daily basis. I do not go around begging money from my husband to attend to my needs anymore and I believe part of the burden he had has been lifted off his shoulder as I contribute towards taking care of our family too.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of buying more building materials like iron sheets that I plan to use in building a new kitchen as I do not have one.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I have a business that generates income for my family daily. The business has really helped me in providing food for my family on a daily basis. I hardly have to depend on my friends or relatives for any financial support and I hardly borrow money here and there just to fulfil some of my needs as I used to. I have really gained financial independence and I am forever grateful to GD for their support.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have bought more building materials like iron sheets, poles, timber, nails etc and built the kitchen so that I have a safe place to cook in. This will also provide my children with a place to sleep in at night without having to worry about where to sleep the next night.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Previously I could only purchase one pale of potatoes and sell,as we speak,I purchase one sack. My profits have increased too and I able to meet my children's needs whenever they ask for.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months,I expect my life to have changed for the better with my son having his own house he has always wanted. I hope this will be reality.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My current life is that different in that my business is doing so well and it has expanded. I am making more profits now as compared to before. I have managed to plaster my house too.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a daughter who is soon clearing her primary school education and my new goal is to see her transition to high school so easily. I am currently saving towards that course.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am currently facing hardships in terms of feeding my children. We are at times forced to miss some meals as prices of goods have gone up and most of the times I provide food alone because of the neglect from my spouse.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evenings are the happiest part of my day, this is the time I get to meet with my friends, make stories and keep myself off depression.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to expand my current business for sustainability purposes because I know I will be getting good profit from the sales and would use the same to provide food for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I am most proud of buying a goat out of my small savings, the goat has reproduced and right now I can sell them anytime I lack money.
