My new goal in the next four months is to start saving money to buy plastering materials and plastered my house. Currently I am staying in a very dusty house where I am worried that I can be affected by jiggers. It is also tiresome repairing it every now and then using cow dang and the owns of the cows also does not want any body to pick cow dang from the place because they are using them as fertiliser.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I recently constructed a new kitchen where I can cook separately especially when I have to use firewood that produces a lot of smoke that makes it uncomfortable to be in the same house during meal preparations. Having to cook in the main house was very uncomfortable for me because it ruined my roof and whenever I had any visitors, I would have to buy charcoal or cook outside to avoid chocking them with the smoke. Now that I have a separate kitchen, I can cook any time even with firewood and don't have to worry about buying charcoal which has also saved me a lot of money.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
At my age, it is really becoming quite difficult to keep up with the constant renovation of my main house through smearing, so I wish to plaster the floor which mostly requires the frequent smearing. However hard it may be, I will struggle to save some of my transfers so that I can buy the materials required for the plastering as soon as I can.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My old age does not make it easy for me to run around or work to earn money for my needs. I am not even able to farm as much as I did before therefore I have to buy cereals most of the time. The difference I have witnessed is that I do not have to spend on maize at the moment because I used the transfers I received during the past farming season to hire labourers to work on my farm and I was eventually lucky to have a good harvest. On my own, I could not manage to cultivate and would still be spending on maize on a daily basis, therefore, I am very grateful to Give Directly for ensuring that I do not go hungry even though I have no source of income and has no one else to depend on.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the next six months, I will have plastered the floor to my main house so that I will not have worry about having to smear it all the time which is a big challenge to me now due to my old age. This may be a bit tough as I solely depend on these transfers for my household needs, but I pray that all will work out as planned with proper planning and sacrifice.

Ever since I started receiving the transfers, I have always ensured my farm is prepared in time unlike before. Since I did not have any source of income, I was not able to plough my farm and it would go unploughed for even the whole year. This is the reason why I did not have any money. I would have used my farm but I could not because I do not have the energy to plough or even the resources to hire someone to plough for me. With GD transfers, I have been able to hire people to plough for me and I have enough to eat and even to sell to raise money for other needs.
