How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Being that I am a low-income earner, it is usually very hard for me to buy some items because most of what I earn is usually spent on foodstuff and other personal needs. GD has enabled me to invest in household items that I did not have before such as decent chairs and utensils and even personal items such as clothes.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I lost my phone a few months ago and life has been very tough since then because I cannot communicate with my customers who usually call me whenever they need my services. This has, in turn, affected my daily income because my customer base has really declined so I wish to use the next transfers to buy a new phone.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I do not have a stable source of income and mostly earn very little from the motorcycle taxi business that I do. This makes it difficult for me to take care of my daily needs especially during these tough times where basic commodities have really become unaffordable. In the past few months, life has been easy for me with financial assistance that I get from GD as I am able to buy the basic needs whenever I receive the transfers. Most recently I was able to buy a good amount of maize for my own consumption which has greatly reduced my daily expenditure as now, I only have to budget for other food items which are less costly compared to maize.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
At the moment, I do not have any livestock in my name which I wish to start buying as soon as I have acquired a new phone. My hope is that in the next six months, I will have purchased a few goats to start me off.
