How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I received the transfer, I decided to build a house for myself. I never had this plan before because I couldn't afford the cost of building a house at that time. Therefore, I started buying my building materials as soon as I received my first transfer up to this point.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We have been residing in my father-In-Law house for three years as a family . This is the embarrassment we faced with as young couples only because we don't have cash to construct house at the moment. We have been trying very hard as farmers and gardeners to generate fund for the our construction to no avail. With opportunity to receive unconditional cash transfer from GiveDirectly as our personal cash , we will use our transfer to build ourselves a house to live as free as we have been waiting to live .
What is the happiest part of your day?
Despite the difficulties we are able to eat every day . The fact that we are living without illness in the far away village I appreciate God for that very morning; the hours which I play Gospel music almost every day before taking off to my farm . The playing Gospel music in the morning always brought joy and happiness to me regarding the miserable life we are living here .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our challenges are the hard works we involve with on a daily basis which can't yield to anything for many years due the lack of fertilizer to make our peeper produce . We have with us now a child and we are expecting another child in few months without any plans to relax on . This situation has caused us not to sit in our home thereby spending much time in the bush to put things together as we expect another expenses to add up very soon as the new born baby is expected.
