How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My previous goal remains which is renevation of my house. Some portion of my transfer was also spent on mattress, rice, and other utensils for my household.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
For me everything Give Directly does is good, they have helped us in so many ways and we remain grateful.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
GD transfer is one thing that have been expectant of me since I wasn't among the first group to receive. My ears were always up. One morning when I woke up and was doing my daily routine, I heard my neighbors rejoicing that they have received their second transfers. I hurriedly rushed to network area to check mine and I too joined them and started rejoicing, my first transfer was right there with me!!!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Living in a tatch house has been a challenge for me, even though my house is new but I was always not happy to see tach over it. My dream has been to live in a house that is roof with Zinc. I'm so much grateful to God for Give Directly, that my dream is now a reality. Finally my house will be roofed with zinc, and my family and I will now live comfortably, we will not have to worry about raining season any longer.

My transfer was spent on Zinc, Mattress, provisions and the remaining portion was spent on transportation to get those items.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My house is not really good to live in during the rainy season. If I get this money from Give Directly, I will use it to buy zinc to roof my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The hardship is too much with my family and I because of the lack of money. Today, upon hearing the news of Give Directly working in my town, it really made me happy because atleast I am certain that my financial problem will be settled when I recieve any money.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As a farmer, I am a father of six children and I am not working. My major problem is to find money to take care of my chhildren school fees and daily meal.
