How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Planning for things you do not have solutions for are like wasting your time for no reason. For this reason, I have never bothered about planning or thinking about anything of such before the coming of GiveDirectly cash transfer. I am a very poor woman. I don't have the time to plan for what will not get no matter how much I work and especially where I found myself. I was not even thinking that GiveDirectly was a truthful NGO that stands for the poor people until today I am seeing them sending cash all over my town to help us that are in need.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have really been observing the workings of this GiveDirectly people. There has been nothing that I have seen bad since the coming of this NGO. The coming of GiveDirectly has put smiles on the faces of people like us that had no means of reaching our dreams and goals. I am very happy for this because I am being helped by GiveDirectly to brighten up the future of my children. GiveDirectly is the best NGO I have ever seen in Liberia.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am living in an old and small two bed rooms house that leaks almost every rainy season with my children. The house is almost breaking down on us, but I can't renovate it because I am not able due to lack of money. I have never in my life gotten such amount of money. So, I am planning to build a new house with my transfer to have a comfortable place to stay with my family.
