How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always been living in a family house along with my 4 kids just in a single room. Because I couldn't afford to have my own place. So when I started receiving the transfer from Give Directly, I immediately thought about having my own place. I said to myself, now that I am receiving this kind of huge money that I didn't even dream of or work for it's better to do something tangible. Right now, I have zinc my house and the last transfer I bought cement to plaster my own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is really doing mavalous things in our communities. Before I used to credit people businesses sell and take the profit and return their money. My kids were not even in school because I couldn't afford their fees. Besides, we were living in family house in a single room. But now, with the help of Give Directly transfer program: My 3 kids are in school now, the other kid is still little to go to school. I am doing my own business and above all my own house is almost to completion. All of these things are happening because of the help Give Directly is rendering to us. And my family and I will forever remain grateful to Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the last transfer on cement to plaster my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: I have been having a land for many years now but I couldn't build on it because i didn't have the financial strength. Before givedirectly could come I use to sell coconut for people for survival. So I would come to you who can afford the finance to purchase coconut, than i will take it (the coconut) on credit, after selling, I will return your principle and take the profit for myself. That was how i continue to survive for many years, the profit wasn't much so i couldn't save to start my own business, it was only manageable for food. But right now I have my own business, at this present moment I have over 25 bags of coconut of my own for sell. All thanks to givedirectly for this help.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly is doing very well from the enrolment process up to present their system is really in good. Every individual from givedirectly that I had ever come in contact with in the field had been kind and friendly. What givedirectly is doing for us in this town, we can not repay them but God will. We are more than grateful for this big help.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: This my recent transfer, I used it to purchase enough cement in other to start my construction process. Like I said previously I had a land from many years now but I couldn't build on it because i didn't have the financial strength. Building this house has always been a burning desire but with my financial strength at that time I could not afford such project.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I was was making contact for coconut when I received my GD first payment. I shouted in bassa saying God has done it my people! And I felt very comfortable when I saw the amount in my phone because my children future about going to school this year is realized; because in the past I have been crediting coconut as good to sell and pay the owner money then use the profit to pay their tuituition. But the coming of Give Directly has changed my story around; that is, my children will go to school this year with ease."
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
As I got GD grant some of the differences in my life and the live of lives of my children are children are going to school and I'm establishing my own business. I will no longer get coconut from my suppliers on credit. But I'm empowered financially to buy and sell.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"I just paid my children tuition in three schools which I couldn't do this year without Give Directly's assistance. Settling or registering my children in school was very impossible to me as I couldn't get more coconut to sell in order to generate more money to get them back in school. My children schooling has carried my first payment which I really like to see them in school."
