How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plans have been building my own house. I am living in my father in law house with my husband and children. Since my husband and I got married, we haven't been able to build of our own due to poverty. To even afford our daily meal had not been easy on my family. I am a farmer and also produce palm oil. I dropped out of school for some years back due financial constraints. My children and I were suffering. GiveDirectly have change my family life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
To be fair, GiveDirectly have done nothing wrong. Their workers have done extremely well by covering long distances to reach us and put smile on our faces. I appreciate GiveDirectly for rescuing me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first and second transfers to buy two bundles of zinc. I spend my most recent to buy my remaining building materials and food. I saved portion of my money.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a very great suprise to see such thing happening to me since I was born. Especially at my location, situated at the remote area of this country, I do not expect such amount of money from anyone who does not know me, even if they have known me. There have been so many things that I have planned to do but due to poverty, I have been unable to do them. I wanted to send my children to school and build a house but there have been no way to do such because of hardship. I was so very very excited when I saw such message, moreover when I realised that it was GiveDirectly sending me this huge amount of money. I have been wishing to get on this program because I have heard so many good news about this NGO taking people out of the poverty line. I am very glad to receive such amount of money from Givedirectly because there have been no way out for me throughout my life but they have made me to achieve my long terms dreams of building a new house and educating my children to secure a better future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am unable right now to express myself because of how filled my heart is with joy by GiveDirectly. There are lot of differences in my life now due to this cash transfer from Givedirectly. I have not been able to see myself happy like the way I am now. Seeing my children amongst their age group in school is a lot of joy for me. I used to cut palm and make palm oil to pay for my children's education but it was not sufficient enough due to this reason, they were unable to end many school years. With this money from Givedirectly, I was able to paid for their full tuitions and also pay for zinc to start my project when my second transfer comes. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for coming to help me and my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
There is a saying that says, opportunity comes once in one's life, if extremely lucky, twice. I have lived in this town long time now. I have planned to have a new house but I couldn't and I couldn't even send my children to school. I have cut palm to make red palm oil to send my children to school and also build a new house for me and my family so many times. The plans can not be achieved and the children's education also is being bother and they can not end the school year because of insufficient money I made from the palm oil. Therefore, immediately as I received my first transferred from Givedirectly, I pay all my children's school fees and I am waiting for my second transfer to pay people and start my house project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I want to make business with this money and I also want to build my house, because I'm big now and I can't continue to live with my parents.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy because GiveDirectly came in to help us, but we cannot show a particular thing, because it's a gift and we have not seen it yet. I'm also happy because Many NGO can come here and they can't bring anything here, and through GiveDirectly I and my children will benefit.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm living with my parents, but everytime small small confusion, they can be saying how I am big now and married, so we are not supposed to be living in their house. So when I get the money, i want to build my house.
