Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was taking care of sick mother at Benson hospital in Monrovia. While at the hospital, I received an alert, but was reluctant thinking that it was the normal message from the GSM Company. After an hour, I decided to stroll through my phone and that was when I realized that Givedirectly had sent my transfer as promise. I was overly excited. I didn't really have enough money to help with my mother's illness, but upon receiving the transfer, I manage to have cashout and help pay for my mother medication as well as help in applying some basic health treatment especially given my background as a dispenser.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was selling drugs at a small scale, but with Givedirectly intervention, I have purchase enough deugs and even preparing to build a mini drug store something that could take me a bit time to do.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
It has been my long time disire to construct a mini drugs store, but there was no money to actualize my dream. With the cash intervention of Givedirectly, I have purchase some construction materials to embark on my drugs store project as a registered dispenser. I also used portion of the money on my mother illness and purchase food for my family as well.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful for Givedirectly transfer, I want to build a pharmacy where I will sell more drugs and have a place to treat patients which have been my plan for a long period of time. I sell drugs as means of earning to sustain my family. I some times go around the various villages to sell, if I have a station area I wouldn't have to put the drugs in bucket and go around to sell.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness is when my oldest brother voluteeer to pay my daughter tuition fees for this school year. I was very happy because I couldn't afford to pay all of my children tuition fees but for the fact that he came a helped me pay her fees, reduces some of the responsibilities.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are lots of challenges I'm facing now but the most of all is money. I want to build a pharmacy and also have a place where I treat patients but there's no money. I'm tired of putting drugs bucket and going around in the various villages Eventhough I sell drugs to maintain my family, the money I earn from the business, I use it to cater for my family needs and is not enough to build a pharmacy. I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly to improve my livelihood.
