Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when I received the money from GiveDirectly because it brought financial relief to me. It was a crucial moment when I received the money because my kids school fees needed to be paid and I didn't know where to get the money from.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My children were not in school because my earning as a public school teacher could not fund their education. I told my children to thank GiveDirectly instead of me when they told me thanks for getting them back to school.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the money on my two children tuition and gave my spouse some money to start a new business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful for Givedirectly cash transfer I want to use some of the money to complete my house which I have been struggling to do. Eventhough I'm doing teaching job as means of earning money to maintain my family, the money I earned, is use on food and other needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy is, when my son got duble promotion from third grade to fifth grade in the month of March 2021. It makes me happy because he brought so much proud to the family and it tells me that all the money I'm spending on him is not a waste.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are series of challenges I'm currently facing but the biggest of all is lack of money. I have been struggling to complete my building project but due to financial constraint, I haven't been able to complete my house. The money I earn from the teaching job, I use some to pay my children tuition fees and use the balance on food and other needs.
