Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to purchase a few furniture and bedding to replace the old ones that I have. This was never possible because resources were scarce and we were only able to meet primary needs all the secondary and luxury items were not a priority then.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in our daily lives is that I have been able to purchase adequate foodstuffs that would take us much longer. Previously, I could not provide adequate food for my family because the wages I was getting were not enough compared to the vast household needs. I am planning to buy goats soon to rear them in my homestead as long term assets and investment in kind.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life would have greatly changed. Initially, I was struggling to fulfill the household basic needs such as foodstuffs and clothing for my family, because the little wages I earned from my casual job could not fully cater for the vast household needs. I have enjoyed a peaceful time after getting this financial support. I bought adequate foodstuffs enough to feed my family daily and clothing for the whole family. I have also bought new furniture for my household to replace the old ones that I had.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Previously, I have been living in a one-room house that served as a kitchen, living, and bedroom to my family. Today, I have a different story to tell because the biggest difference in my daily life for the last four months is that I have successfully built a kitchen that I have ever dreamt of. This has been enhanced by buying building materials which included iron sheets, nails, timber and paid laborers to build it using the transfers that were sent.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to aim higher and get to my goal of replacing my grassed thatched roof into an iron sheet one. This means I intend to be discipline with the finances I get from GiveDirectly through buying the required building materials every month.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to start up a shop. With this shop, I can provide for my family with much ease unlike before where I had to engage in casual labor to earn a living.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have fixed an iron sheet roof and replace the grassed that one by buying building materials every month with the sent transfer. This is because at the moment the leaky grass-thatched roof of my house is in a deplorable condition which has made it risky for our habitation.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months in that my business is now doing well. I started the business with a very small stock which was not generating much income. In the last four months, I have been using part of my monthly transfers to boost the business by adding more stock to the business. Right now, I am glad the business is picking up well and I can see the change in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal in the next four months is to boost the retail shop business. This is because I want to have more income from it which will help me meet my family needs in time. The profits will be my income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In my life, I have always depended on income from casual work which has never been enough for our needs. I have always struggled to make ends meet with the little income I have. I had wished to get a stable source of income but I knew I could not get because of my low income. Receiving these transfers changed my perception. I started believing that I could get an income-generating activity. I used to save my transfer which I finally used to start a retail shop business. This has changed my financial life totally.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Apart from having a new house, I have always had food on the table for my family. Before the transfers, I have been struggling to put food on the table because of my low income from casual work which was not consistent and very little. I would stay for a week without getting any money. This is the reason why my family would go without food at all or even just a meal in a day. Since I started receiving the transfers, I have been budgeting well and we have always had food on the table for my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four-months is to start a cereal or cloth business. I would not want to struggle through casual work anymore but have a stable income from the business. This will help me provide for my family well and comfortably.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have a new iron-roofed house. I had dreamt of building an iron-roofed house but was not able to due to my small income from casual work. I have been living in a small grass thatched house which was not very uncomfortable for my family. I tried saving for a new house but I ended up using all my savings on other family needs such as school fees. With GD transfers, I was able to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber and nails which I have since used in building a new house of preference.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to buy fertilizer and hybrid seeds to use on my farm. My dream is to have a large harvest which I may be able to sell the surplus in bigger markets where the prices are fair. I would want to use the money to boost my business to enable me to get an income to sustain my family needs.

Four months ago, I used to find it so difficult buying food for the family but today I no longer strain because I have enough money at my disposal. It then remains upon me to choose what i want to buy.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to save some cash that will enable me to start a small scale business that will enable me to be self sustained so that in the event that the organization stops the cash transfers then I will be able to go on with my life without any major changes.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The money has helped me in budgeting for my family because I am able to buy food without so much strain like I used to do before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change because I will have built a new house and also started a new house. The house I live in today is too small for the large family and we have to squeeze in it making life quite unbearable.
