How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that I have been able to clear school fees arrears for my children. This is a miracle in my life because school fees was one of my major area of failure. I was not able to pay their arrears in time because I only depended on income from farming which comes twice a year. The needs of the family are on a daily basis hence it has been hectic for me to pay their fees in time. GD transfers have enabled me to clear their arrears because I have been paying on a monthly basis as I receive my transfers. Through the little sacrifice, I was able to clear the balance.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I have a new goal of buying a motorcycle. I would want to have a stable source of income and this is the best way I can achieve. Therefore, I would want to have an economic engagement and this is my way of investing the transfers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the past, before the transfers, I used to struggle to raise money to meet my needs. This is because I only depended on farming as my main source of income. The income was not enough to help me cater for all the family needs. This is why I was not able to build a decent house for my family in my own home as I would have wanted to. I decided to stay for a long period in my parent's compound as I was still looking for the money to put up a good house in my own home. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been saving on a monthly basis which I used on buying building materials such as iron sheets, nails and timber. I have since used the materials to put up a good of my desire. Thanks to GD.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have bought a second-hand motorcycle. I plan to save part of my monthly transfers for the remaining period so that I may be able to pay a deposit for the motorcycle. I know I will finish paying for it with time through the small income I get on a daily basis.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have a lot of ease when it comes to paying school fees for my school going children. Initially, my children used to frequently sent home for fee balances, unlike today. They now have a humble time to concentrate on their daily work and this makes my heart trickle with joy .l feel it has also created a good rapport with teachers since I have improved on paying the school fees balances.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buit anew house because the one I am staying in is too small and also according to Luo culture you have to build a second house once you have put up a home. I am also planning to open a business now that I have my own home. I am soon building a small kiosk at the gate. I want to start a small shop business which will act as an additional source of income.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I find it easy to handle my family needs. This is because I did not have any stable source of income and I used to have bad credit with my friends and groups. I used to struggle to keep up with family demands and I felt I would work hard but the income was not equivalent to my input. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, life has been easy on me. Anytime I have a financial crisis, I can easily borrow from anyone and pay because I get money every month from GD. I find peace in my heart because of GD transfers.

My new goal in the four months is to boost my shop business. This has really saved me a lot when am in dire need of money. I can be able to get money from the business to pay school fees and I know if I stabalise it, I will have a bright future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have money every month. I used to struggle to meet my family needs since I did not have any stable source of income. I used to depend on farming which I had to wait until harvest time to get enough money to solve my family needs. I would go borrow from my friends and I would not get because I had bad credit with them. They would deny me intentionally because I would not be able to pay in time. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have always had money and anytime I go borrow from my friends, they give me willingly because they know I will get money to pay back.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the six months, I would want to buy cement and sand which I will in plastering my house. With the transfers, I was able to buy building materials such as iron sheets, nails, timber, steel windows and doors which I use in constructing a new house. Right now, I want to plaster so that it may be strong, durable and presentable.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is living in a small leaky thatched house with a big family. I wish to establish my own home away from my parents compound but due to lack of funds, I have to continue living in a small house that is very uncomfortable.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon because I mostly meet my colleagues in table banking groups where we share development ideas.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on buying building materials (iron-sheets, timber, nails, cement and sand) to construct a semi-permanent house. I will then spend the rest of the money on boosting my current shop business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My greatest achievement was harvesting 8 bags of maize in 2016. The good harvest came as a result of using the local manure on my farm. I was able to sell part of the produce to pay my second wife's dowry and my family's health also improved because they ate well without missing a meal.
