What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive this money from Givedirectly I will use some to pay my children school fees and use the balance to build a house for my children which will bring me so much joy. I used make farm to sustain my family but when my wife got seriously sick, I spent all the money I earned from the farm on her hospital bills, unfortunately she didn't survive. After her death I couldn't afford to take care of the children, I send them to stay with my mother in Monrovia. At times the little money I earn from the charcoal I burned I send some to my mother in Monrovia for their tuition fees and use the balance to sustan myself.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me so much joy and happiness is when I wakeup in the morning seeing myself alive and healthy brings me so much joy. And also when my aunt recovered from her sick bed it brought me so much happiness because she was at the point of death and we couldn't believe that she could recover.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is money. I want to pay my children school fees and build a house which will bring me so much joy but I don't have money. I used to make farm to sustain my family but the money I earned from the farm I make last year, I spent all on my wife hospital bills, unfortunately she passed out. After her death, things begin very difficult, I couldn't afford to provide food for my children, I have to send my children in Monrovia to live with my mother. The house I was living in when my wife passed got damaged and my brother give me one room in his house to stay. Since than I have not been able to build my own house and take the full responsibility of my children because, I don't have money. I feel uncomfortable with the kind of life I'm living. I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly to improve my livelihood.
