How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving this transfer I had few plans i needed to do with it. I have being living in my uncle house and praying that i will one day get funds to move in my own house, than GiveDirectly came and help us with cash transfer to transform our lives. I decided to use this money tp build.my own house for my family. Also i want to add to my existing business that I'm selling now. I'm selling drugs i.e tablets to take care of my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly program did well through their cash transfer to help poor people do things for themselves. GiveDirectly delivered what she promised and now my dream of building my house and enlarging my business is a reality. Thank GiveDirectly I'm so grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have not spend my recent transfer yet, i intendd buying cement to plaster the house and add more drugs to my existing business.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When GIVE DIRECTLY came here, they told us that our money was going to come on our phone, for this reason at times people from this village carry their phone to the place that has network connection to check and see if GIVE DIRECTLY has sent the transfer. One day, my uncle came running in the town to tell us that he has received transfer from GIVE DIRECTLY, when I heard this, I ran quickly for my phone and ran to where we have network connection. I put my phone on and after a little while I saw that I have received money from GIVE DIRECTLY. I was so excited because at that very moment my four year old daughter was ill for some days now and I didn't have a dime to take her to the hospital. When I saw the transfer, I was really excited.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is, now I'm not stranded again or even crediting from people as I used to do just to get food for my children, I am now able to take care of my daily needs and even take care of my children when they are sick.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on zinc, nails for the house I want to build, I was able to take my daughter at the hospital and paid her bills, I bought food for my children, paid my tithe and I saved some.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" I am a single mother of two children, they both kids fathers left me after they were born. If I am opportune to get this grant, I will register my oldest daughter and start the construction of a place of our own. I was not opportune to complete high school and wouldn't want my child/children to suffer what I have suffered."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"My oldest daughter celebrated her birthday on August 11. Looking at the amount of sufferings I'm going through just to see them good and seeing her turn four, brought me great joy. There were people who didn't believe I would have succeeded in bringing my kids up, but God has been faithful to us."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" As I said previously, I am a single mother of two children, my greatest challenge is access to finance. I have to burn charcoal in other to fetch food for my kids and I."
