How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Mustapha Sirlef from Jawai town, Bomi county Liberia. Since I started receiving cash transfer from Givedirectly, I decided to build my own house, continue payment of my Kids school fees, buy room, furnitures, clothes and start business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly help in taking me from one level to another by selecting me as beneficiary for the cash transfer. I am so glad and want to thanks those that contributed in helping me because it is due to the cash I received from Give directly that I was able to purchase all that I today.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Upon cashing out my money, I bought Mattress, clothes, food ,did payment of my Kids school fees and bought two bundles of zinc.

Yes, I have new goal which is building a house for my family and myself.

Give directly is doing everything well because our lives getting better. Our struggles have reduced since we started receiving transfer.

When this money came in my phone, I was very happy and thankful to God for his blessings
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I was doing hard labour work in the village to survive on every day, but now, the labour work have reduced because I am a little relaxing myself to the village work.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" Because we don't have house, we plan to build house with our money. Besides, I want to start selling dry goods to enable me get much money so I can be able to keep my children in school."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" No! Is very hard and I have not come across a day in the last 6 months when I can remember been happy. Everyday we have to do hard work in order to sustain ourselves. We hope in the future, when you come back to ask similar question things will improve and we will tell you the story."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" Currently we are suffering for food business, I only way we can get food to eat is when we put cassava in water to make fufu out of it. We also don't have wearing, because we don't have money to buy clothes."
