How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! My foremost preference is to continue my house construction.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Giving out cash free of any attachments is the real deal. And I can assure them that before the four transfer ends, they will see a tangible difference or results. I don't have any issues with them, they've played their part and up till now, i haven't heard or seen any shortcomings.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought one bundle of zinc, a five gallon of gas for sawing of planks, four pack of zinc nails, two bags of rice(50kg). I used the rest to pay my son balance tuitions since he's schooling in another town.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have no new goals I previously planned to build a new house, which is what am continuing to finish.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
For me Givedirectly didn't do me wrong, I haven't seen it in my life since I was born, for an organisation to you free money without you working for it, am surprised. I planned to build a new house because where I lived currently not good again, the thatched leaking. Givedirectly has not done any worse in the community that I know of.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc, three packs of zinc nails, wire nails, paid a child's school fees, bought some foodstuff and the remaining was paid as labour cost for the chainsaw operator who will produce the planks for the house construction.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was about to go to my farm when the message hit my phone. Upon cheking the message, I realised that my transfer has been sent. Immediately, I suspended going to the farm since I was going to be hired by a neighbour as daily casual labourer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference is that, I have stopped daily hiring, I am no more a daily casual labourer I am now focusing on my cocoa farm and my house since I now have a mean of taking care of them. All I can say in short is that my life is getting better gradually.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc and I also pay part payment of my children's school fees and the balance was spent on my cocoa farm, which I soley depend on in my old age.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive the GiveDirectly Cash transfer I intend to build a concrete structure with zinc roof. Although I make rice farm but the money I earn from the farm is what I spend on food. The structure that I live in the wall is made of mud and the roof is made of thatch when the rain starts to fall, the structure begins to leak and it damaged most of my household materials.I want to build a concrete house with zinc roof but there's no money. If I receive this transfer I will buy house materials to build a concrete house for my household materials to be save.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me joy or happiness is when my son gives me 1000.00 Liberian Dollars in August.I was happy for what he did for me because I didn't have rice to sell to buy food for my household. So the fact that my son gives me money to buy food for my household to eat brought so much joy to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is to get money to build a concrete house with zinc roof.I have been living in this mud structure with thatch roof for the past five years and I'm not comfortable with this kind of condition I'm in.Although I make rice farm but the money I earn from the farm is what I spend on food.I will really appreciate any help given me to improve my livelihood
