How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes! I want to build another house and be a landlord.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did well by sending us cash, this program has helped us a lot in paying our children's tuitions, feeding, clothing and most importantly shelter. What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive the cash transfer, I will build my new house ; because the one I am in now is old. And the roof is damaged completed. I am even worried if the next rainy season comes how I will manage to live in it under the condition. It has been my plan long time to build a new house but the means is not there. Although I do daily hire sometimes and earned money from it, but the amount can't be enough to support the children and also be able to save money for the construction purpose. So, I will be happy if I am successful to receive the cash transfer so as to actualize my dream.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, the fact that you people came here with this kind of news of giving us cash, I am very happy to hear that.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge for me now is how to raise money to build my new house. As I mentioned earlier, it is very difficult to earn money here. I do daily hire to be able to earn money and support my family. And the cash received from the daily hire cannot settle all my needs. So I need more money for my plan activities.
