How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to get my own sleeping place . I have been renting in this village for 2years. My dreamed has been to build my house when I haven't to end money. My main source of income is farming but the amount of money I usually generate from selling the crops are very low to build house. Thanks to Givedirectly for the financial support. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, my dreamed to live in my own house will surely come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly, is one of the transparent Organizations in Liberia for now. It is through Givedirectly cash supports that many community members have removed thacths from over thier houses and replaced them with zincs. Thanks to Givedirectly for the kind gestures. There is no system in Givedirectly that needs improvement.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transfer to buy one decent two bed rooms dirt blocks house right near the main car road in the next village. I am grateful to Givedirectly for the kind gesture. It is through Givedirectly cash support that I am now owner of a decent house in this village. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, my dream to live better life will soon come to pass

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I wanted to set up my transportation business. My wife and I decided to buy a new motorbike. This bike will serve as an alternative source of income for me to take good care of my family. Therefore, I have decided to wait for the rest of my transfers before cashing out. I am so excited to have benefited from this program.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
First of all, I see GiveDirectly as an integrity NGO. When I was told by GD staff about these transfers, I doubted from the very beginning. However, GiveDirectly has been very honest in delivering cash to poor people like us. I will forever remain grateful to GD for transforming my life through their great financial assistance.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Being a single mother with five children is a very tedious issue . I was abandoned by my children father on the 16th of August, 2020 for another women who he lives as of now . We have to bed people to build me a transitional housing with mud and thatches for my children and I to reside after her left us . Said house has so many leakages that I don't able to control while rain is falling . I have planned to build my children and I a house with zinc on roofing and if I am blessed to receive from GiveDirectly the unconditional cash transfer, our plan will be accomplished.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my farm produce more in which I am able to pay my expenses including my children fees from the proceeds , I am so happy with life .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The leakages of my old house in their rainy season couple with finding food and school fees for my children are the challenges I am faced with . Being a single mother of five children whose father has abandoned for several years is a challenging situation in term of survival. I have to pay people to breash my farm where I usually plant cassava for garie processing. The process of accumulating cash to pay workers is my main challenge because nobody or no men can help you with your farm works when the individual is not your boyfriend and I promised myself not to have a boyfriend until I can find someone to marry me . These are some challenges among others I am facing.
