How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am very happy not to roam in bushes looking for roofing grass again after building my iron sheet roofed house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well giving people money which has been used to build iron sheet roofed houses improving the outlook of the village; and I don't see anything it hasn't done well.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I can now afford to eat a balanced diet. Before, we used to feed on one type of food on daily basis.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first cash transfer, I felt happy because it was the first time I received a huge a mount of money in my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first cash transfer worth 1,700,000ugx, I was able to purchase building materials like iron sheets, making bricks, felling trees for building worth 1,640,000ugx. I bought utensils of 30,000ugx in order to improve on our living conditions and I spent 50,000ugx for feeding my household. I have saved 30,000ugx for making bricks.
