How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am very happy and proud to be able to send my children to school like those working class town people.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well uplifting people from extreme poverty by giving money directly to build houses, buy household items, pay school fees; and I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to burn building bricks, bought iron sheets and cement, and balance to pay school fees.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have got a piece of mind because am in position to start up the construction of an iron roofed house, which will relief me from the burden of renovating my hut yearly given that the grass is becoming scare.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 210,000 ugx of my first transfer for paying school fees for my son, bought clothes for my self and children at 100,000 ugx, 260,000 ugx I spent on making bricks and food for the family at 130,000 ugx. I have not yet spent 1,000,000 ugx but am planning to spend it on buying iron sheets and cement.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to use the transfers for building ironroofed house. This will make me cut cost incurred in maintaining grassthatched roof.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon when Iam interracting with members of my community.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is poverty. When I separated with my spouse life is now difficult since I left bear handed.
