How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goals that I didn't have before receiving the transfers were to always have enough food in the house as well as enough furniture. For now I have managed to buy a bed, mattress and blankets as well as I have enough food in the house. All this thanks to the financial support from GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to help every person regardless of political or ethnic group as long the person has followed all the proxedures needed by GiveDirectly. Unlike in the past, other organisations could come through the chief and he could register only those few people he want them to benefit.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my second transfer on 10 bags of food as this will be enough for myself. I also managed to buy 2 blankets for the family. The other money has been kept for my daily needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recipient this money would mean a new business venture to help me provide for myself. I current have fishing boats and nets which enabled me to employ fishermen to use to catch fish. The business that I want to venture into is a grocery shop which I will be selling most of the basic needs that people need everyday such as soap, food stuffs, body lotions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months I was happy when I was able to go to the lake and fish with my employees because I would know that I would be able to earn some money from selling the fish that I would catch.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge that I am currently facing is unstable source of income. As I said that I invented in fish boats and nets which I rely to find money but the challenge is that the lake is now closed for fishing so that the fish breeding can happen. The lake was closed on 1st October and it will be opened in April. I have decided to start the grocery shop business so I can be able to have a stable source of income to be able to provide basic needs for the time that the lake is closed for fishing.
