How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Many thanks to givedirectly for their support to was my family and I. I am so happy that I was enrolled on this program, because my life has changed for the better. My children where all out of school, because I never had money to pay my children school fees. With givedirectly support I was able to put my children in school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion givedirectly did very well in my life and that of my village. Givedirectly was able to enrolled almost the entire village. There are so many New houses with in my village that I am proud of today. Givedirectly was able change my life. My children are now back in school.

I was paid my children school fees, I bought few clothes for my children. I enough food for my family.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goal for now, my focus is on my house project that is still in progress. Notwithstanding, a portion of my transfer was directed to buying materials for my room to make it look decent.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does everything well. They are an institution of integrity and morals, I love them for such.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my transfer to purchase one eight inch Matress, and two bags of rice. The remaining little portion was squeezed in to purchase a tin of gas to saw my planks.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my recent transfer,I was very excited! I was excited because I never had money to and GiveDirectly gave me money. We have been living in my father in law house for the past two years. We have been sleeping on a damaged mattress with my young baby. My husband is a motorcyclist and that has been our means of survival. Things have been really difficult on us. We had a plan of building our own house but couldn't afford for ourselves due to financial difficulties. However,from my transfer that I received from GiveDirectly,things have started improving in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was worried about buying mattress but I now have a comfortable mattress to sleep on with my baby at night. I am also building my own house.I am really grateful to GD for changing my life completely.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Building my house and getting a comfortable mattress have been my worries. Thus,I used my most recent transfer to buy two bundles of zinc and zinc nails. I also purchase a comfortable mattress for my family and I to relax at night. Lastly, I bought food for us to be eating.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I some times feel ashamed staying in my father inlaw's house with my my husband and daughter. There are lots of things we want to do alone as family but unable to do because my inlaw's always interfering in it. My plan is to build a house of my own that my family and I can have enough space and make our own decisions".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Things are hard to the extent that my family and I wait for holidays before sharing with our families. During the Christmas season, we were able to get small money from what we saved in the club through out the year to buy a new clothes for ourselves and daughter and i even had enough good food to share with my inlaw's".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"I am a young girl who have to drop out of school because I was self supported and in that process, I got pregnant for a motorcyclist. Money has become a major hardship I am faced with right now because for us to get food and other things to keep us up, my husband has to go on the traffic before I can get it done"
