Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited when I saw the message from GiveDirectly with the money. I couldn't believe my eyes and I thought it was not really, because this is my first time handling this amount of money. I pray that God reward GiveDirectly to continue doing this for the poor people.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life is improving because my son's graduation fees has been paid and I'm going to have my own little house soon. It wouldn't have been easy if I had not received this money to pay my son's graduation fees.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought a bunch of zinc for my new house with portions of my money and I paid my son's graduation fees with the balance money.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I plan to do with the cash transfer is to build at least a one room house for myself because I don't have a good place to lay my head. Where I am at the moment, was given to me to squat until I can find place. Although I do farm to take care of myself but the money I earned from farming is insufficient to take care of my basic necessities least I talk of building a house. When I receive a cash transfer from Givedirectly it will be a dream come true because I will be able to actualize my dream of building a house of my own.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me happiness or joy is the day I got some money from a lady (Ma Ruth) for the sale of charcoal that I produced. That was in August of this year. It brought me happiness or joy because so many other people took away my coal in the name of bringing the money after sale but I have not seen nor heard from them. I was so excited when I receive the money from Ma Ruth because the money was able to meet up with some of my basic necessities.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge that I'm currently facing is I don't have a reliable source of income to meet my basic needs such as food, medication, clothing and decent shelters. I am really struggling. Even though I am a farmer but money I earned from the farm is not enough to maintain me. I will appreciate any help to improve living conditions.
