What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy four (4) bundles of zinc, one (1) cartone of zinc Niles, paid people to cut the Sticks and to saw the planks for the building. I was also able to buy food for the children. Thanks to the entire Give Directly family for the support that will enable me to owned my own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Let me take this time to say a very big thanks to Give Directly for services rendered us during the entire enrollment process. You did a great and excellent job.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Dorothy, before GD came, I planned to build a house of my own but could not be realized due to lock of funding. My entire life had been farming and my farming have not yield any positive result to build a house, even products sales could not start a house. I was enrolled as a recipient on the GD program and received my first, second and third transfers. With the first, second and third transfers, I can now start to build a house of my own.

My house is in a deplorable condition and GiveDirectly Cash transferred will help me build a better shelter. During raining season, My family and I suffer from cold due to leaking roof. I spent my most recent transferred to purchase three bundles of roofing sheets to roof my house when I complete construction works.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There have been huge improvement in my life since GiveDirectly started sending me transferred funds. Before life was so difficult for me, farming was my only means of survival. I could not afford to build a better shelter for my family, Because my daily income from farming was not enough.
Now that GiveDirectly have started sending me cash transferred, I will build a better house for me and my family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received money from GiveDirectly. I felt happy because my house is in a deplorable condition and GiveDirectly Cash transferred will help me build a better shelter. During raining season, My family and I suffer from cold due to leaking roof. This situation cause my children to continuously get sick and we experienced uncomfortable sleep during the night hours. When ever rain falls our house gets wet destroying all our clothes and bed.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges i am currently facing is finances. I want to engage in life trees farming but i don't have the finances to support my plans.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the last six months, what brought happiness to me is good health. My family have not been hospitalised and everyone is doing just fine. This is another way of prevention me from crediting to take care of hospital bills.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Looking at the condition of my house, when i receive this money, i will build a new house.
