Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my way from Castro when I received the transfer alert on my phone in Boegeezay town. However, I was very happy when I saw the message in my inbox that I have receive a transfer because since the day of my birth I have never received or earned such a huge sum of money within just a day. Moreover, I have been struggling to build a new house because the house I have currently can not accommodate us and I see this transfer as an opportunity to improve my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At first, I never had the finance to improve my life but since I started receiving the transfer, I have been empowered to do the things I couldn't do on my own. Moreover, I will be extremely happy to see myself sleeping in a new house as soon as possible.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought bricks for the project and food with the current transfer that was sent.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"As you are looking at my condition even though you can't determine it by just looking, if I am successful to benefit from Givedirectly cash gift, I will use some of the money to build myself a new house. The one I currently sleep in is very deplorable to the extend when the rain starts to comes, my entire room can be like a river. My next plan is to use the balance money to establish an income generating activities (small business)".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Beginning this year (6months), the only thing that have brought me sorry when the separation of my wife and myself. It was something I couldn't control looking at my level of destitution. But with all, I give God the glory that Givedirectly has come to put smiles on our faces and from this, my former wife will know, it is God who defines one's life and direction".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Like I mentioned, my major challenge is shelter. I thank God that I am not owing anyone nor in any legal disobedience that will entangled me. If this shelter problem can be settled, I will be one of the most appreciative citizens of this town about Givedirectly support to mankind".
