How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am a 9th grade dropout, I dropped out of high school due to the lack of financial support. I am currently involved in to business. I hope of educating my siblings and my children in the coming years. I know what it's like not being educated. If my kids and siblings are educated, they will contribute to society in a more meaningful way.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my experience with GiveDirectly's staffs, I am very please with everything, the staffs talk to people in a very polite manner, they had well explained Town Hall meeting and the views of everyone is respected.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The house we currently live in is a family house own by my father. I live here in one room with my husband and two children. Whenever we have a guest, we find it difficult in accommodating the person due to having just a single room. The money I just received was used for the construction of a house. The new house has three rooms. My husband and I will have a room, my children will occupy one room while the other room will be kept for guest. Building this house with the cash transfer from Give Directly has brought me great joy because this has been a long time dream.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a goal to build a house for my family. Before Give Directly enrolled me on this program, my family and I have been residing in my parent's house which has been somehow challenging for me. However, when the first transfer was sent I bought zinc and more supplies for my business. Although I have not cashed out my second transfer, I'm planning to at least spend all of it on my house and a little amount on my daughter's education. Currently, my attention is on the house project because I want to live in my own house with just my children and spouse.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is doing well to help my family and I with the transfer and they caring in doing their jobs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm planning to buy additional zinc and woods for my project. The woods and zinc will be used for the roofing.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Because my family and I don't have much money to build our own house, we currently live in a room of my father's house. We also use the mini shop attached to the house for our little busines that help us earn some money for the family upkeep and send the children to school. Therefore, when we are qualified to receive cash transfer on GiveDirectly program, my spouse and I will built a bigger house for ourselves with a bigger portion added to expand our business and be able to continue supporting the family and safe more money to continue sending the children to school as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the past six month one of my sisters has been pregnant and I have always prayed for safe Delivery. God answered my prayer and she give birth to a baby boy. With in the same six month, my elders sister who live in monrovia graduated from high school. These are the two things that brought happiness in my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Eventhough the structure my family and I live now is for my father but we are not comfortable and free to do many things, for example to expand our business and give our children access to their own room because the house is small and there is no enough space. Our Current challenge now is to raise money and be able to build our own house that will accommodate all of us and our business.
