How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that, I'm looking beautiful and healthy. This because I paid my children's fees and bought livestock among many other things with the transfer. And all these have given me a peace of mind unlike in the past when I struggled alone as a single parent to raise money to meet family needs like fees hence leading to stress.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the unconditional cash transfer. On the other hand, GiveDirectly has nothing bad to me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have not yet started spending my second transfer, but I'm planning to use it for constructing a permanent house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I'm so happy nowadays because I have realized some change in my life in terms of hire land since I did not have enough land to farm on. I now sleep on a presentable mattress courtesy of the transfers because initially I slept on a small and worn out mattress. I'm Glad that I managed to pay my children's school fees therefore this term they will not be sent home for defaulting school fees. Finally I have a cow that I look up to for the future that will produce and supply me with milk for sale and consumption hence improved diet and income.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
This money was sent to me at around 10 o'clock, I became so happy for this money because I did not know when I shall receive my transfer because most of the community members had already received their last transfers. I got put and sat on bed since I had not yet slept, started laughing alone in the night because I was so amazed. After that I went back to sleep.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought a cow with this transfer that will support my household in future in terms of milk production. I bought household items like utensils jerry cans. I was able to hire some piece of land for cultivation since the one I occupy is not enough. I paid school fees for my children and saved some money for future use.
