How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to renovate my house, construct a kichen and own a bull. Previously, I slept in a house with a leaking roof because I didn't have enough money to renovate it and I also had no hope of owning a bull at my old age.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

I was super excited when I saw a mobile money notification from GiveDirectly. I reflected how hard life has been for me and my household in terms for famine and sleeping in a dilapidated house that could collapsed on us anytime. I was so happy because I knew the transfers will enable me renovate the house and buy food in the household.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
My house was ram-shackled and looking ugly. When I received the transfer, I decided to renovate it and costed me Ugx 500000. Feeding was also very difficult in the family since we are currently in a dry season whereby getting food is a big challenge, I spent ugx 500000 on feeding. I have saved ugx 700000 for future use.
