How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has really improved as compared to the past as my biggest challenge was not owning a house..So with the Money, I will be able to build a new house which will be more comfortable for the entire household. I have managed to purchase food and other basic necessities that will take me throughout the end of the year.. Lastly, I have also bought a few bags of fertilizers so that I can be able to harvest more food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly provides cash which helps in improving our living standards..For example,,with the money I will be able to build a house from scratch. Also I have received a phone and a simcard which I could have never bought on my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the cash, I plan on building a new house...So for now I have bought building materials such as iron sheets, cement and nails. I have also bought fertilizer and a few bags of maize.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I'm so thankful to be receiving this money and to be part of this program because it means I'll be able to repair my home. My roof is made of plastic and thatched roof and during the rainy season I experience leakages that ruin my property and this money can help me deal with alot of my problems and I'm so happy and excited
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I'm with my family and we have food to eat. This is usually in the afternoon soon after my husband does small jobs or comes back from the city and he brings us food
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I've experienced is not having sufficient fertiliser when farming. I do not have enough fertiliser to grow maize and due to this the maize grows poorly and I do not harvest enough for selling or feeding my family all year round.
