How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I needed money to renovate my house by replacing the entire old (tatch) roof with new zinc. Therefore, when I received my recent transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 2 bundles of zinc and few bags of cement to roof and plaster my house. I am grateful to GD for this golden opportunity that has changed my life for good.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My life has changed completely since I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly. I am so excited about this program that has given me hope for the future. All that GiveDirectly have done thus far is incredible.

The renovation of my house has been my greatest priority recently. Hence, as soon as I received my transfer, I bought 2 bundles of zinc ($22,000LD). I also used portion of my transfer to purchase few bags of cement to plaster my house and put a concrete floor. GiveDirectly has become a blessing to me and my family.

I was home lying down. By 12:am my phone rang and when I checked it , I saw my massage from GiveDirectly. I couldn't believe it. The next morning I went to a better network coverage area to make sure and it was actually my transfer from GiveDirectly.I felt so overwhelmed. Because I have been cutting palm and farming before affording for my family. I have been living in a deplorable house and had a terrible accident from my farm six (6 )month ago. I have been suffering a lot in this remote village. Hopefully, this transfer will enable me to change my entire life positively.
