How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different. I am tumor free thanks to GD's support. My health is improving day by day. This was never the case before the surgery, I was suffering and in a lot of pain.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done so much that cannot be said in words. May God continue adding to your pots that you continue helping more people who are in need.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I did spend the second transfer to settle a medical bill that I had incurred during surgery. I had a brain tumor and I had to be operated on to rescue the situation. This went successful thanks to GD. The remaining amount I spent on the funeral expenses of my late brother. The burden was made lighter.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that we are now of good health thanks to the support we received fro GD. With the condition, it would have been costly to settle the hospital bills on our own as a family. The city scan is usually very expensive and without the results, the condition would have worsened. My daughter and son are also recovering well and back in school.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was relieved because I did not know where I was going to find such an amount of money for treatment for both me and my children.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Upon receiving my recent transfer I went for a checkup in Russia hospital Kisumu. I had suffered a brain tumor before and was done for surgery and advised that if I experienced any severe headaches I go for a city scan just to verify if it had re-occurred again. So I did go for a city scan and was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the left side of my brain. The remaining amount was used to treat my son and daughter who were also unwell.
