How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much different in that I hired two pieces of farm land that have increased my food supply. I am very grateful that I also renovated the house to a more habitable condition. In the past, I was sleeping in a dark untidy house without windows.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to support the poor with cash transfers. They also do not condition the people on how to spend their cash transfers. However, the cash transfers are not enough to fulfil all our obligations. My wish is that if they could increase the cash transfer amounts to three transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the cash transfer to purchase windows, doors and sand. I spent part of it to hire two plots of farm land.
