How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I don't have any new goals. My goal has always been to get a coconut plantation. But I haven't been able to achieve it because of the lack of money. Things have been a bit difficult for me. I cut palm and make oil. Take the oil to local markets to sell. Lately the business has been moving slow. I was so overwhelmed when I received my transfer. I am thankful for this opportunity my dream will become a reality and my life will never be the same again.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is has done nothing unwell. GiveDirectly is improving our lives. It is giving us unlimited cash and asking for nothing in return. That is amazing. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. Our lives will never be the same again after receiving all of the transfers. We are so grateful for this opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been facing some difficulties. I make palm oil and take to local markets to sell. Lately, the business have been moving very slow. I always wanted to own a coconut plantation. I have not been able to do that due to lack of money. I was excited when GiveDirectly came to my town. I am so grateful that I got enrolled in this amazing cash program. I used some of my money to start my plantation. I paid some of the dept I owed my neighbour. I used rest of the money to buy mattress and some other food items. Hopefully when I receive rest of the transfers I will use it to get rest of the materials for my plantation. With this cash program, our lives will never be the same again.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am a renowned farmer from Danboh village. I've been planning to plant coconuts but never had the strength to brush a very sizable spot for my coconut farm. Therefore, when I received my transfer, I was so glad. I could now hire enough man power to brush my farm. GiveDirectly's has positively affected my life through this cash transfer and I am so pleased to be a part of this project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Eventhough I had planned on having a coconut farm, I couldn't achieve this dream due to limited finances. However, since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, I have been able to hire enough workers to have my farm ready for planting. This has been the biggest difference in my daily life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have always dreamt of having my own coconut farm. In so doing, most of my recent transfer was spent on paying workers to brush my farm so I can start planting coconuts. Portion of the money was also used to buy food for workers. I am so grateful for this opportunity that GD has provided me.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am planning coconuts because I want to have a coconut plantation at my late father farm land to keep the area active and to sustain my family and I. When I receive my cash transfer I will use it to develop the farm more by paying people to do the work as fast as possible.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought joy in my life in the last six months was we haven't been getting sick despite the circumstances we're face with.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest challenge now is how to successfully develop my late father farm land and to how to generate money to pay the dept I'm owning one of my friend's.
