How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, due to the deployable condition of my old house built over 30 years ago, and with the dream of building a new and house, I immediately started buying building materials such as four and the half bundles of zinc, some pieces of planks for the roofing, windows and doors with packs of nail. However with my recent transfer, my planned is to used the money to buy the require bags of cement for the plastering and floor laying in order to bring the project to completion.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done what no one could ever have done it for me. Since I got sick many years ago. I have been unable to do anything that could bring forth income for my family. For this reason, with my life was filled with so much sadness until GiveDirectly came to my rescue with this financial freedom favour. Therefore I will continue to be grateful to GiveDirectly. Therefore I have not seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.

With my desired to change the living place for my family from sleeping under the old thatched roof to a zinc roof house, I have strived all through my transfers to see this dream come to reality. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I don't have any new goals. My old goal was to build a new house. I am a farmer. I plant cassava, when I harvest, I then take it to local markets to sell. I have been doing this to support my family and cater to our needs. Over the past 6 years my leg have been hurting. I no longer make farm. The roof of my house had spoiled. It leaks. My children dropped from school. I couldn't afford to change my house roof or pay my children tuition. I was so excited when GiveDirectly came to my town. I am grateful that I got enrolled in its cash program. Being on program will improve our lives.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my own point of view, GiveDirectly has done very well for us. It is giving us so much money that we are not working for. GiveDirectly is doing extremely well for us. It is giving us better lives. And they are asking for absolutely nothing in return. This is so amazing. Hopefully after receiving all of the transfers our lives will never be the same again.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am so grateful to God for the GiveDirectly cash program. This is an amazing opportunity to improve our lives. Things got difficult for my family when my leg began to hurt. I could no longer make farm. The roof of our house began to leak. My children dropped from school. I could hardly cater to my family needs. I was so excited when I received my transfer. I used some of my money to pay my children tuition. I also bought zinc and a cartoon of nails to change the roof of my house. I give the rest of my money to my daughter who is schooling elsewhere for her upkeep.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful ,with the cash transfer from Givedirectly , I decide to build a house for my family. I believe with money we can live in a decent house and live a better life. The house my family and myself are living in now was build by me since 1986. This house is very old and has lot of leakage which is causing my family and myself to have sleepless nights during raining season. I also have a plan of sending my children to school with portion of the cash, which I believe will also be a great help for us.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My most happiest moment is today. Seeing Givedirectly coming in my community gives me so much happiness. If I am successful to receive transfer, this will help ease my financial stress as a sick person. I am so much grateful to God and and want to say thank you to Givedirectly for remembering my community and me.

My health is a major challenge for me. I have been sick since 2015, and spend all my money I had for treatment but still not getting cure. I have been really challenge with getting money to provide for my wife and children wellbeing. My leg is really hurting and swollen up for the pass six years, I can not move around to get money or food for my family . Because of my condition, my wife has worried and fall off recently from pressure and can not speak .
