In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
my opinion GiveDirectly does so well in supporting the most needy in our societyy. Through GiveDirectly's charity works I have witnessed a positive transformation in people's lives. This has helped in alleviating poverty. However, I have not heard or seen what GiveDirectly has not done so well since it has taken all possible measures to effectively reach out to and support its recipients.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent KES 1000 from my second transfer to offset school fee areas for my two siblings who are currently in primary school. I am thankful to God because since then, they have been having ample time to concentrate on their studies. Consequently, they are advancing well in their studies, and this act makes me feel delighted. I also spent the balance of KES 2,000 to buy a goat which I look forward to raise and as my flock increases, I shall aim to begin raising cows. I am glad that nowadays I have a goat, a dream that carried for long since I never had some money to initiate the project. I am indebted to GiveDirectly for its charity work.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
At the moment I received this transfer, I was very happy. I knew I had the funds I needed to help me and without delay I went on to buy 2 hens each worth KES 300. I intend to rare them and later sell them at a higher price and make profit. This is the business I intend to grow with the transfer. I am happy I have received money that can aid me do that.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that it has helped me buy poultry and clothes. Were it not for the transfer, I would not have the money to make such purchases. I intend to rare poultry and earn income out of it. Thus, GiveDirectly is aiding me in alleviating myself from poverty through the transfers.

I bought 2 hens and clothes-1 t-shirt. I bought it for biz, I rare chicken. But I did not have any at the moment, my hens had died. I now have 4 at the momment.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I would like to build a house because what I have right now is nearly falling. It's been that way for quite some time because my father who promised to repair it for me was murdered before he could deliver to that effect. I feel it's not safe to use it in this condition because it can collapse on me any time.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm always happy whenever I get to rest. Mostly I do take cattle to grazing fields every morning and because there's very little pasture right now, I have to walk around a lot. This gets me extremely tired that I always feel very happy when I get to rest at the end of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I always have to struggle to get adequate food supply so that I can eat comfortably. As an orphan I'm forced to live in my grandfather's house where we're so many and I'm also expected to contribute food whenever I'm able to. I rarely pull through as I am jobless and only make money when I'm contracted as a casual labourer in the village. But still I have an autism condition that limits what I can do in terms of physical jobs.
